Following the release of his critically acclaimed EP,‘The Irish Wonder Boy’ and ‘Spaceman’ which feature on Trust It Entertainment mixtape ‘OBVIOUSLY’ wonder boy strikes again with ‘Shining’. Demonstrating his ability to present cohesive, melodic cuts that play to his strengths. Giving us 3minute 10second of glorious melodic trap-filled rhythmic energy backed up on a braggadocious bassline.

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, BoyW1DR began his musical journey in 2015, Since then he has shared a steady stream of consistently distinguished records. Collaborated with the likes Atlanta rapper Nessly and Irish grown artists Evans Junior, Pat Lagoon and Dennie Valentino, in addition to temporarily becoming the face of a Spotify curated playlist. Recently joining a new collective of Irish artists called FaR in 2019, also based in Dublin, BoyW1DR has begun to make even more of a name for himself in the Irish scene and is definitely on his way to being not only Ireland’s but the world’s very own wonder boy.

Growing up in Ireland and wanting to rap on a global scale didn’t ever feel like a possibility. I never thought I even get to the stage I’m at now. The song is pretty much about doing that one thing or going that extra mile/ taking the extra step that brings you success you never thought possible despite people telling you to “be realistic” and constantly doubting you. Regardless of what field you’re in. That extra hour or two that you put into your craft making all the difference. Making you shine.

Speaking on the creative side of things BoyW1DR shared “a lot of the time I listen to music that puts me in the mood to write. I just heard some new songs so I searched for some type beats similar to the mood I was in. I found the shining beat along with a few others. I was just with one of my boys who was staying with me at the type but that’s usually the vibes when I’m writing.

‘Shining’ is now available on all digital streaming platforms
